Professional Training & Development

AACCS is dedicated to training and developing culturally competent therapists rooted in Christian faith and who desire to align their professional identity and purpose with serving the Asian American Christian community.

Over nearly three decades, more than 50 pre-licensed psychotherapists (MFTs, MSWs, and Clinical Psychologists) received their clinical hours and licensure under supervision at AACCS.

We offer an informational Externship Program in order to introduce college seniors and post-baccalaureates to the various professional specialties of counseling and psychotherapy.

Additionally, AACCS is a California Board of Behavioral Science Provider (PCE No. 5107). Partnering with highly respected Asian American Christian scholars and practitioners, we have offered an annual Symposium since 2012.

Lastly, through the generosity of an AACCS board member and his family, the Ryo and Jean Komae Scholarship Fund provides financial support and encouragement to second year graduate students working toward advanced degrees in either Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology.
