We at Logos Evangelical Seminary were aware of the ever increasing need for Christian counseling among the Chinese community and had been thinking about establishing a licensed degree program in marriage and family counseling since 2014. An opportunity came up in 2015 for AACCS to merge with Logos.
After much prayer and consideration, the merger with AACCS became a reality. Under the guidance of Logos, New Dawn Christian Family Service was duly formed to oversee the ministry of AACCS. I sincerely thank God, from the bottom of my heart, for the selfless and harmonious team work of the New Dawn Board and the dedication of all the therapists and staff during the past five years.
Due to various reasons which are mentioned in the Finishing Well FAQ, the New Dawn Board decided early this year to dissolve AACCS. However, Lord willing, we are convinced many cost effective mini-AACCS programs will spring up around Southern California and other regions in the U.S.
As for Logos, we will continue the mission of AACCS through training more ministers and church leaders for effective family ministry and pastoral counseling among Chinese Christian churches.
May the Lord’s blessings be upon everyone who embraces this meaningful mental health ministry with a serving heart for God’s kingdom purpose!
